Job Description

Study of market / competitors product; understand customers expectations, usage pattern by doing primary/secondary research for information gathering.
Review the companys existing product portfolio and recommend opportunity for future product extension by reviewing product usage trend and market requirements, exploring new product ideas product usage or packaging aesthetic changes.
Study of competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products and suggesting improvements / new SKU / new product introduction based on market potential study.
Closely liase with inter departments like production/ R&D / Quality / Finance/ purchase/SCM and sales for pre-product planning and new product introduction.
Plan launch plan of new product introduction, sku introduction to increase market share by working with sales team.
Creating go to market communication strategy / plan / story and closely liase with the sales team for the launch and growth of the product.
Continuous market visits with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results in retail.
Provide information to seniors by preparing product sales forecasts based on market growth / opportunity
Hands on with excel for reporting and analysis of products.
Inventory planning based on sales forecasting.
Pricewaterfall study of competition in various zones through continuous field visits
Liaising with artwork team for product collateral design and also with promotion team for creating awareness / visibility campaigns
Determines product pricing through market research data, competition pricing, reviewing production costs; anticipating volume; costing special and bulk orders, if any.
Ensuring product profitability for the company
A team person who is expected to possess good communication and inter departmental skills.
Reporting to Brand Manager.
